A potent storm system will roll across the Southern tier of the U.S. over the next two days. As a result, severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible from the southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley into the South and Southeast. Also, heavy rain from these thunderstorms may cause some flood concerns, especially in the Lower Mississippi Valley.
