Severe Storms in the Upper Midwest; Heavy Rain in the Mid-Atlantic; Widespread Heat in the Southern Plains and Southwest

Severe storms with damaging winds, large hail, and locally heavy rain will impact portions of the northern Plains and Upper Midwest. A stalled front will produce another round of heavy rain, thunderstorms and flooding to the Mid-Atlantic. Excessive heat continues in the southern Plains to the Southwest, and fire weather threats remain critical from the Great Basin to north-central Rockies.
