Dangerous Heat Wave Across the Northwest; Flood Threat Continues in the Central U.S.
An intense, prolonged, and record-breaking heat wave will continue over the Pacific Northwest for the next few days. High temperatures will soar to more than 30 degrees above normal in parts of Washington and Oregon. Meanwhile, a stalled front will bring rain and thunderstorms through mid-week from the southern High Plains to Great Lakes with the risk of additional flash flooding.
