Critical fire weather conditions continue today from the Four Corners region into the central Plains, with a separate area over New England. On Tuesday, critical fire weather conditions are forecast over the southern High Plains. Severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night from portions of West Texas into south-central Kansas.

wind will continue through Thursday. Winds will likely shift
southwesterly on Friday ahead of a cold front approaching from the
northwest. This front will then likely move offshore and across the
marine area Friday night, with a light to moderate offshore flow
developing in its wake. A slight increase in winds and seas may
develop by late week in association with the front.
