A frontal system will bring rain and mountain snow from northern California into Washington today, before advancing into the Rockies and Intermountain West on Monday. Strong and gusty winds are also expected over parts of California and Nevada. Meanwhile, much cooler and more seasonable weather will return to the East Coast today as temperatures rebound from the southern Plains into the Midwest.
