Unsettled Weather Across the Northwest; Much Cooler for the East

A frontal system will bring rain and mountain snow from northern California into Washington today, before advancing into the Rockies and Intermountain West on Monday. Strong and gusty winds are also expected over parts of California and Nevada. Meanwhile, much cooler and more seasonable weather will return to the East Coast today as temperatures rebound from the southern Plains into the Midwest.

Synopsis: A cold front will move across the Atlantic and Gulf coastal waters on Sunday. Behind this front, winds will quickly increase out of the north northeast as the day progresses leading to deteriorating marine conditions during this time frame. Wave heights across the local waters will increase as well especially across the Atlantic waters later in the day on Sunday and into Monday. The elevated winds and seas will gradually diminsh as the middle of the week approaches.

.GULF STREAM HAZARDS...Winds and seas will increase as Sunday progresses and could reach 7 feet Sunday Night into Monday.
