A dangerous heat wave persists for the Northwest into portions of California today with excessive heat warnings and heat advisories in effect. The active monsoon pattern with organized showers and thunderstorms and possible flash flooding with debris

Keys coastal waters today and tonight, resulting in continued
light and occasionally variable breezes. Thereafter, an Atlantic
high pressure ridge will build westward, and shift northward,
resulting in freshening east to southeast breezes and increased
shower coverage Friday through Sunday. A period of fresh breezes
is likely on Sunday and Sunday night.
