A developing storm will bring heavy snow, blizzard conditions and bitterly cold temperatures to Alaska this weekend. Heavy rain and flooding expected in the lower elevations of Hawaii and blizzard conditions are expected in the Big Island Summits this weekend.

A vigorous cold front is expected to move rapidly down the island chain from late tonight through Friday, then stall near the Big Island by late Friday. Strong and gusty north to northwest winds and building seas will accompany the passage of this front. A kona low developing west of the state Sunday will produce unsettled weather into early next week. $$
