Severe Thunderstorms Forecast for Portions of the Plains, Mississippi Valley, and Mid South

Intense and widespread severe thunderstorms are expected Friday afternoon into the overnight hours across parts of the middle Mississippi Valley and Mid-South vicinity, eastward to the lower Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. Strong and damaging wind gusts are forecast along with several strong tornadoes. Farther north, heavy snow and blizzard conditions are possible over the Upper Midwest.
