Severe thunderstorms are expected to form today from northern Oklahoma into southern Minnesota. Late This Afternoon: Southeast wind 20 to 25 knots with gusts up to 32 knots. Mostly sunny. Waves 3 to 6 feet occasionally to 8 feet building to 4 to 7 feet occasionally to 9 feet.

Tonight: Southeast wind 15 to 25 knots. A chance of showers and thunderstorms through late evening, then rain showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms by midnight. Waves subsiding to 3 to 6 feet occasionally to 8 feet, then building to 4 to 7 feet occasionally to 9 feet.

Friday: East wind 15 to 25 knots veering southwest 10 to 20 knots by late morning, then veering west 10 to 15 knots late. Gusts up to 32 knots. Rain showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms through early afternoon, then a chance of rain showers late. Waves building to 4 to 7 feet occasionally to 9 feet, then subsiding to 3 to 5 feet occasionally to 7 feet.

Friday Night: Northwest wind less than 10 knots. Partly cloudy. Waves subsiding to 1 to 2 feet.

Saturday: Northwest wind less than 10 knots veering northeast in the afternoon. Partly cloudy. Waves calm to 1 foot.
