Two storm systems will track through the central and eastern U.S. today through this weekend with areas of gusty winds, rain and heavy snow. Severe thunderstorms and heavy to excessive rainfall is forecast today from the Lower Mississippi River Valley to the Tennessee Valley. Rest Of Tonight: West winds to 30 kt becoming northwest gales to 35 kt. Snow through early evening, then snow likely overnight. Waves 8 to 11 ft occasionally to 14 ft.

Sunday: Northwest gales to 40 kt becoming west 10 to 20 kt. Chance of snow in the morning. Waves 10 to 14 ft occasionally to 18 ft subsiding to 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft.

Sunday Night: West winds 10 to 20 kt becoming southwest to 30 kt. Waves 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft building to 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.

Monday: West winds to 30 kt diminishing to 10 to 20 kt in the afternoon. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.

Monday Night: Southwest winds 10 to 20 kt increasing to 15 to 25 kt. Waves 3 to 5 ft building to 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.

Tuesday: Southwest winds to 30 kt becoming west. Chance of rain. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.

Tuesday Night: West winds 15 to 25 kt becoming northwest to 30 kt. Chance of rain and snow. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.

Wednesday: North gales to 40 kt. Chance of snow. Waves 10 to 14 ft occasionally to 18 ft.

Thursday: Northwest winds 10 to 20 kt backing to southwest. Waves 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft subsiding to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
