Tropical Storm Arthur and Heavy Rainfall in the South; Severe Weather in the Midwest

An outbreak of severe thunderstorms is expected across portions of Illinois and Indiana tonight. Intense tornadoes, swaths of damaging gusts, and hail in excess of 2 inches in diameter possible. Tonight: Southeast winds to 30 knots decreasing to 10 to 20 knots in the late evening and early morning, then veering northwest 15 to 25 knots after midnight. Rain showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of rain showers after midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall in the evening. Waves 2 to 4 feet.

Thursday: Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots backing west around 15 knots early in the afternoon. Partly sunny with a slight chance of rain showers. Waves 4 to 6 feet.

Thursday Night: West winds 15 to 20 knots. Partly cloudy. Waves 2 to 3 feet.

Juneteenth: Northwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Sunny. Waves 2 to 3 feet.

Friday Night: Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Partly cloudy. Waves around 1 foot.
