Expect lake effect snow showers overnight, West of US 131. A low-pressure system developing overhead will transition the lake effect snow to wet, slushy accumulations tomorrow. The heaviest amounts will be west of US 131, especially west of Kalamazoo and in the higher terrain northeast of Reed City. Tonight: North winds 15 to 20 knots increasing to 30 knots toward daybreak. Rain showers likely. Waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet late at night, then building to 5 to 7 feet toward daybreak.

Friday: North winds to 30 knots backing northwest gales to 35 knots. Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers. Waves 7 to 10 feet.

Friday Night: Northwest winds to 30 knots. Rain showers likely. Waves 7 to 10 feet.

Saturday: Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots. Mostly cloudy. Waves 5 to 7 feet.
