Inclement Weather in the Pacific Northwest; Severe Thunderstorms in the Southeast; Impending Winter Storm

An approaching storm will bring rain and high elevation snow to Pacific Northwest through the weekend. Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible across parts of the Southeast today into this evening as a low strengthens over the Southeast. Sunday: Variable winds near 5 knots, becoming west to northwest and increasing to 15 to 20 knots. Seas 1 foot or less, building to 2 to 3 feet. Wave detail: west 2 feet at 3 seconds. Patchy fog early. Scattered showers developing.

Sunday Night: Northwest to north winds near 20 knots, becoming north and increasing to near 30 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet, occasionally to 5 feet, building to 8 to 11 feet, occasionally to 14 feet. Wave detail: northwest to north 6 feet at 7 seconds and northwest 4 feet at 4 seconds, becoming northwest to north 10 feet at 8 seconds. Isolated showers in the evening.

Monday: North winds 25 to 30 knots, becoming northwest to north and decreasing to 20 to 25 knots in the afternoon. Seas 8 to 11 feet, occasionally to 14 feet, subsiding to 7 to 9 feet, occasionally to 11 feet.

Monday Night: Northwest to north winds near 25 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet, occasionally to 11 feet.

Tuesday: North winds 20 to 25 knots, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 5 to 7 feet, occasionally to 9 feet, subsiding to 3 to 5 feet, occasionally to 6 feet.

Tuesday Night: North to northeast winds 10 to 15 knots, becoming northeast to east and decreasing to near 10 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet, occasionally to 5 feet, subsiding to 2 to 4 feet, occasionally to 5 feet.

Wednesday: East to southeast winds near 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.
