Atmospheric River to Impact the Northwest; Windy Conditions in the Northeast

A strong atmospheric river moving into northern California later today will bring a threat for moderate to heavy rainfall and flooding, gusty to high winds, and mountain snows for parts of the Northwest U.S. through Wednesday. Rest Of Tonight: Southeast wind 5 to 10 knots becoming north 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots after midnight. Chance of sprinkles early in the evening, then chance of rain in the late evening and overnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

Wednesday: Northwest wind 10 to 15 knots. Gusts up to 20 knots increasing to 25 knots in the afternoon. Sunny. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet in the late morning and afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Northwest wind 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 25 knots becoming west 5 knots early in the morning. Partly cloudy. Waves 1 to 3 feet subsiding to 1 to 2 feet in the late evening and overnight.

Thursday: South wind 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast with gusts to around 25 knots in the afternoon. Slight chance of rain in the afternoon. Waves 1 foot or less.
