This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Nearshore
waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Southwest winds will be increasing today into tonight leading to
hazardous conditions, especially for small craft. Small Craft
Advisories have been issued for a portion of the north and south
shores. See the latest Nearshore Marine Forecast and Marine Weather
Message for more details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Strong southwest winds will continue Monday and strengthen as the
turn west to northwest Monday night into Tuesday. Hazardous
conditions will occur for much of the nearshore waters. Small Craft
Advisories remain in effect into Tuesday evening for portions of
both the north and south shore. Additional advisories may be
needed.

...INCREASING SOUTHWEST WINDS TODAY VEERING TO WEST TO NORTHWEST
MONDAY NIGHT...

.Southwest winds will increase to 15 to around 20 knots across
western Lake Superior today into tonight, increase further to
20 to 25 knots by Monday afternoon, then veer to west to
northwest Monday night. The strongest wind and highest gusts will
occur on Tuesday when some gales around 35 knots will be
possible.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING
TO 10 PM CST TUESDAY...

* Sustained Winds...West to southwest 15 to 25 knots becoming west
  to northwest on Tuesday.

* Wind Gusts...Around 25 knots tonight...increasing to 30 knots
  Monday with some gusts to 35 knots on Tuesday.

* Waves...3 to 5 feet tonight building to 5 to 7 feet Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
