Wind gusts will be strongest late this morning and afternoon, particularly for the Outer Apostle Islands and Grand Marais to Grand Portage where brief gale force gusts up to 35 knots will be possible. These strong winds will lead to wave heights building to 4 to 7 feet, will lead to building wave heights to 4 to 7 feet for much of Tuesday, with elevated waves lingering along parts of the South Shore into Tuesday night. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Wave heights of 3 to 5 feet keep hazardous conditions for small craft lingering from the Outer Apostle Islands to Saxon Harbor until late Wednesday morning.
