This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Lake Superior
and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Breezy northeasterly winds with gusts up to 30 knots begin late
this morning and continue into early tonight. Wind gusts will be
strongest late this morning and afternoon, particularly for the
Outer Apostle Islands and Grand Marais to Grand Portage where
brief gale force gusts up to 35 knots will be possible. These
strong winds will lead to wave heights building to 4 to 7 feet,
will lead to building wave heights to 4 to 7 feet for much of
Tuesday, with elevated waves lingering along parts of the South
Shore into Tuesday night.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Wave heights of 3 to 5 feet keep hazardous conditions for small
craft lingering from the Outer Apostle Islands to Saxon Harbor
until late Wednesday morning.

Winds and waves may be hazardous to small craft in the Twin Ports
on Thursday.

Additional periods hazardous conditions to small craft are
possible for Friday into this weekend.

  waves 1 to 4 ft expected.

* WHERE...Grand Marais to Taconite Harbor MN, Taconite Harbor to
  Silver Bay Harbor MN, Silver Bay Harbor to Two Harbors MN and
  Two Harbors to Duluth MN.

* WHEN...From noon today to 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

Anyone operating a smaller vessel should avoid navigating in
hazardous conditions.
