...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 AM
EDT SATURDAY...

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Small
Craft Advisory...which is in effect from 8 PM this evening to
8 AM EDT Saturday. the Gale Watch is no longer in effect.

* WINDS...Southerly winds to 30 knots tonight, becoming
  northwesterly for Friday

* WAVES...Building to 5 to 10 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that winds or waves are expected to
produce hazardous conditions to small craft. Inexperienced
mariners...especially those operating smaller vessels should
avoid navigating in these conditions.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Numerous thunderstorms will affect the area at times through this
evening. There is a chance a few of the storms could become
locally strong to severe. The main threats would be damaging wind
gusts, large hail, and heavy downpours.

Winds and waves will ramp up this evening and tonight and become
hazardous to Small Craft. Gales are likely north of Pentwater.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Winds and waves will remain hazardous to Small Craft through
Friday. Gales will remain likely north of Pentwater. These
conditions will create dangerous swimming conditions for Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

There is a chance that spotter activation will be needed today.
