...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NASSAU...NORTH CENTRAL DUVAL...
SOUTHERN CAMDEN...SOUTHEASTERN GLYNN AND EAST CENTRAL CHARLTON
COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...

At 553 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Jekyll Island to near Folkston. Movement
was southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
St. Marys, Kingsland, Fernandina Beach, Hilliard, Folkston, Callahan,
Kings Bay Base, Yulee, Kings Ferry, and Amelia City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Northeast Florida Beaches.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
