.NOW...
Through 600 am, scattered showers and thunderstorms will move east
near 20 knots along the Keys island chain from Bahia Honda to
Key Largo, Florida Bay, Hawk Channel, and the Straits of Florida out
to 60 nm. Mariners will encounter blinding downpours, wind gusts
around 30 knots, and frequent lightning strikes. On land, many areas
from Bahia Honda to Key Largo will see additional rainfall amounts
up to one inch and wind gusts around 30 mph. Ponding of water will be
likely on roadways and in low lying spots.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Florida Keys and
adjacent coastal waters.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Fresh to strong northwest to north winds are expected through
this afternoon following a frontal passage through the area
earlier this morning. A Small Craft Advisory is currently in
effect for all Florida Keys coastal waters.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible early this morning. The
primary hazards will be lightning strikes and locally gusty winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Strong east to southeast winds are forecast for Thursday night
and Friday, as low pressure develops over the Gulf of Mexico. A
Small Craft Advisory may be required for parts or all of the Keys
coastal waters during that time.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible Thursday night through
Saturday. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and
locally gusty winds.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

  Middle Keys in Monroe County and Lower Keys in Monroe County.

* WHEN...Until 645 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 445 AM EDT, National Weather Service Meteorologist
    detected heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Marathon, West End Of Seven Mile Bridge, Seven Mile Bridge,
    Bahia Honda Channel Bridge, East End Of Seven Mile Bridge,
    Ohio Key, Bahia Honda Key, Pigeon Key, Knight Key and Boot
    Key.
