.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Excessive Heat...Heat index 108-111 degrees across coastal areas.
Heat exhaustion likely with prolonged exposure. Heat stroke
possible.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone particularly eastern beaches of St. Croix.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Hot temperatures will continue through at least Tuesday as winds
continue from the south with clearer skies. On Wednesday onward a
deep layered trough moving across the Caribbean Basin will cause
conditions to deteriorate with heavy showers and thunderstorms
across most of the area. Flooding remains the greatest threat
throughout this time. On Wednesday night through Thursday winds
will strengthen, bringing hazardous marine conditions for the
southwestern regional waters and a moderate risk of rip currents
for most beaches.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
