...ISOLATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WESTERN INTERIOR THIS AFTERNOON...

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Rip currents: There is a moderate risk of rip currents on Atlantic
beaches.

Thunderstorms: A few thunderstorms are possible through the area at
anytime, but activity is most likely this afternoon over the western
interior. Cloud to ground lightning is the primary threat, but a few
thunderstorms may become strong and produce gusty winds.

Waterspouts: Waterspouts are possible across South Florida waters.

Wind: Isolated strong thunderstorms are possible this afternoon over
western parts of South Florida and adjacent Gulf waters. Wind gusts
to 50 mph are possible.

Temperatures: Heat indices today may be around 105 degrees across
portions of South Florida, especially around the Naples metropolitan
area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Scattered thunderstorms are expected each day, with the highest
coverage across the western interior and Gulf coast each afternoon.
The main threats are expected to be lightning and localized minor
flooding.
