Very cold temperatures are likely to continue over the Deep South and Southeast U.S. into Thursday. A series of low pressure systems will bring abundant moisture to much of northern California and into the Pacific Northwest through the upcoming weekend. Locally heavy rain and strong winds will be likely along coastal locations, with heavy snow expected from Sierra to the Cascades.
