The early season, record winter storm is gradually departing the Northeast U.S. today but lingering impacts of heavy snow, mixed precipitation, in gusty winds and coastal flooding continue. Meanwhile, a cold front plunging through the Upper Midwest and Front Range of the Rockies will produce localized heavy snow from North Dakota to southern Minnesota and from the northern to central Rockies.
