Summer Heat Continues For Several Spots, While Severe Storms With Torrential Rainfall Will Threaten The Northeast into Mid-Atlantic Region

More summer heat is expected for parts of the West, South and Northeast before focusing over the southern Plains later this week. Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect for parts of the West, while Heat Advisories blanket each region.
