Flooding and Severe Weather Risk Continues This Weekend

More heavy rain will exacerbate flooding in the central and southern U.S. this weekend. In addition, over portions of the Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee Valleys, severe thunderstorms are expected. Some storms may produce large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. Meanwhile, snow and ice will again affect the Cascades, northern Rockies, upper Midwest, and New England through Sunday.

Mon: NW wind 10 to 20 kt. Wind waves 4 to 6 ft. NW swell 14 to 16 ft at 14 seconds. Chance of showers.

Mon Night: N wind 10 to 15 kt northern portion and N 15 to 20 kt southern portion. Wind waves 3 to 5 ft. NW swell 13 to 15 ft. Slight chance of showers through the night.
