Active Weather Pattern Continues for the Northwestern U.S.

A series of Pacific storm systems will bring periods of locally heavy rain, gusty winds, and mountain snow to portions of Washington and Oregon for the next couple days. In addition, much of the northwestern U.S. and Intermountain West will experience strong winds from these storm systems, particularly in Sierra Nevada, Great Basin, and the northern Rockies/High Plains.

Sat: SE wind 15 to 25 kt. Wind waves 2 to 4 ft. W swell 10 ft at 10 seconds. A chance of rain in the morning then rain likely in the afternoon.

Sat Night: SE wind 25 to 35 kt. Combined seas 11 to 13 ft with a dominant period of 14 seconds building to 13 to 16 ft with a dominant period of 14 seconds after midnight.

Sun: SW wind 20 to 25 kt rising to 25 to 35 kt in the afternoon. Combined seas 12 to 15 ft with a dominant period of 14 seconds.
