Widespread, Significant Severe Storms; Blistering Heat; Persistent Monsoon and Fire Weather Threats
A swath of severe weather is forecast from the Middle South to the Great Lakes. Very large hail, significant damaging winds, and tornadoes will be possible; especially; from northwestern Tennessee to southwestern Ohio. The south-central U.S. remains excessively hot, with Heat Indices over 110 degrees. Monsoon moisture continues threats of local flash floods, and dry thunderstorms in the west.
