Wildire Danger Continues in Southern California

High pressure building into the Western U.S. will create strong offshore winds in southern California. Temperatures in this region are unseasonably hot, and conditions are dry. The combination of these strong winds and dry conditions will bring fire danger to portions of southern California. Red Flag Warnings are in effect here. Any new fires in this region could quickly grow out of control.

Rest Of Tonight: Southwest wind 10 to 15 knots. Mostly cloudy in the evening then clearing. A slight chance of rain showers in the evening. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

Monday: South wind 10 to 20 knots. Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain showers late. Waves building to 1 to 2 feet.

Monday Night: Northwest wind 5 to 15 knots becoming north up to 30 knots after midnight. Gale force gusts up to 37 knots. Showers. Waves building to 4 to 7 feet occasionally to 9 feet.

Tuesday: North gales to 35 knots diminishing to up to 30 knots by mid afternoon. Gale force gusts up to 44 knots. Rain showers. Waves building to 15 to 20 feet occasionally to 25 feet, then subsiding to 12 to 17 feet occasionally to 21 feet.
