Heavy rains are leading to an elevated concern for flash flooding across parts of Oklahoma and Texas today, and this heavy rainfall will spread slowly east over the weekend. Severe thunderstorms may produce damaging winds and a few tornadoes across parts of the Northeast and Ohio Valley this afternoon and evening. Rest Of Today: Northwest wind up to 30 knots with gale force gusts up to 41 knots. Cloudy with isolated showers. Waves 4 to 7 feet occasionally to 9 feet subsiding to 3 to 6 feet occasionally to 8 feet.

Tonight: Northwest wind 10 to 20 knots backing west less than 10 knots after midnight, then backing southwest 10 to 15 knots late. Gusts up to 27 knots. Partly cloudy. Waves subsiding to 1 to 2 feet.

Saturday: Southwest wind 10 to 20 knots. Mostly sunny through early afternoon then becoming mostly cloudy. Waves building to 2 to 3 feet, then subsiding to 1 to 2 feet.

Saturday Night: North wind 5 to 15 knots veering northeast 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Cloudy with a chance of rain showers. Waves building to 3 to 5 feet occasionally to 7 feet.
