Heavy Snow For Portions of the Northeast; Great Lakes

Moderate to heavy snow will return to the Northeast and New England over the next couple of days. Heavy Lake Effect Snow will continue to the lee of the Great Lakes. Light snow will fall across portions of the Tennessee Valley; working into the Mid-Atlantic by mid-week. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather conditions will continue in southern California.

Rest Of Tonight: Northwest wind 20 to 25 knots. Gusts around 30 knots. Mostly cloudy early in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Waves 5 to 7 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 feet toward daybreak.

Tuesday: Northwest wind 10 to 15 knots. Gusts up to 25 knots. Slight chance of snow showers. Waves 2 to 4 feet.

Tuesday Night: Northwest wind 5 to 10 knots becoming south after midnight. Chance of snow after midnight. Waves 2 feet or less.

Wednesday: South wind 5 to 10 knots becoming southwest late in the afternoon. Chance of snow. Waves 2 feet or less.
