Fall Weather Pattern Arrives

Rain and much cooler temperatures behind a cold front will bring a feeling of fall to the east coast today. In addition, an active fall storm pattern developing in the Pacific Northwest this week will bring areas of heavy rains, and very high elevations could receive heavy snow. Wetting rains to the valley floors will spread south Thu and Fri into northern California,where active fires continue.

Tuesday Night: Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 knots. Mainly clear. Waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet. Waves occasionally around 6 feet.

Wednesday: Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Sunny. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

Wednesday Night: Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots. Mainly clear. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

Thursday: Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 5 to 15 knots. Becoming mainly clear. Waves 2 to 4 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet.

Friday: West winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southwest. Mainly clear. Waves 2 feet or less.

Saturday: Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming south. Partly cloudy. Waves 1 foot or less building to 1 to 3 feet.
