Weather Systems Bring Significant Weather Impacts across the U.S.

Out west, low elevation rain and additional snow in the mountains. Rain, sleet and freezing rain are expected to extend from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic. Strong to severe thunderstorms possible for parts of the lower Mississippi valley. An elevated fire risk continues in the Southwest into the Southern Plains. In addition, another coastal storm may develop next week.

Sunday: West wind 5 to 10 knots backing southeast early in the afternoon, then backing east late in the afternoon. Sunny. Waves nearly calm.

Sunday Night: Northeast wind 5 to 10 knots rising to 10 to 15 knots in the late evening and early morning, then rising to 15 to 20 knots early in the morning. Partly cloudy. Waves around 1 foot building to 3 to 4 feet after midnight. wave heights are for ice free areas.
