Heavy Snow For Portions of the Northeast; Great Lakes

Moderate to heavy snow will return to the Northeast and New England over the next couple of days. Heavy Lake Effect Snow will continue to the lee of the Great Lakes. Light snow will fall across portions of the Tennessee Valley; working into the Mid-Atlantic by mid-week. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather conditions will continue in southern California.

Tuesday: NW wind to 30 kts with gale force gusts to around 35 kts in the morning. Waves 4 to 6 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft in the afternoon. Partly cloudy.

Tuesday Night: NW wind 15 to 25 kts decreasing to 10 to 15 kts after midnight. Waves 2 to 4 ft subsiding to 1 to 3 ft after midnight. Partly cloudy.

Wednesday: NW wind 5 to 10 kts. Waves 2 ft or less. A chance of light snow.
