Heavy Snow For Portions of the Northeast; Great Lakes

Moderate to heavy snow will return to the Northeast and New England over the next couple of days. Heavy Lake Effect Snow will continue to the lee of the Great Lakes. Light snow will fall across portions of the Tennessee Valley; working into the Mid-Atlantic by mid-week. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather conditions will continue in southern California.

Tuesday Night: North winds around 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 knots toward morning. Seas 4 to 6 feet. Bay and inland waters choppy.

Wednesday: North winds around 15 knots diminishing to 5 to 10 knots in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop.

Wednesday Night: North winds around 5 knots then becoming east around 5 knots toward morning. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Bay and inland waters smooth.

Thursday: South winds around 10 knots. Seas 2 feet. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Thursday Night: South winds around 10 knots. Seas 2 feet. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Friday: Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots then becoming west around 15 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop. A chance of showers.
