Flooding and Severe Weather Risk Continues This Weekend

More heavy rain will exacerbate flooding in the central and southern U.S. this weekend. In addition, over portions of the Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee Valleys, severe thunderstorms are expected. Some storms may produce large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. Meanwhile, snow and ice will again affect the Cascades, northern Rockies, upper Midwest, and New England through Sunday.

Monday Night: West winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northeast after midnight. Seas 1 to 2 feet. Dominant period 4 seconds. Protected waters smooth. A slight chance of showers in the evening.

Tuesday: East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Dominant period 4 seconds. Protected waters a light to moderate chop. a slight chance of showers in the afternoon.
