Unsettled weather will continue across the Southeast and Gulf Coast with periodic showers and thunderstorms through at least Wednesday. Rainfall amounts may exceed three inches in some locales. Elsewhere, a few severe thunderstorms are possible for the Ohio Valley and central Plains through Tuesday.

Wednesday: South southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Period 4 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop. A chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night: East southeast winds 5 to 10 knots nearshore and southeast 5 to 10 knots offshore. Seas less than 2 feet. Period 3 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop. A slight chance of showers in the evening...then a chance of showers after midnight.

Sunday: Nearshore, south southwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Offshore, south southwest winds 20 to 25 knots becoming around 15 knots in the evening. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop. Showers likely and a slight chance of thunderstorms.
