Heavy rains are leading to an elevated concern for flash flooding across parts of Oklahoma and Texas today, and this heavy rainfall will spread slowly east over the weekend. Severe thunderstorms may produce damaging winds and a few tornadoes across parts of the Northeast and Ohio Valley this afternoon and evening. Significant river flooding continues across the Carolinas.
