Heavy Snow For Portions of the Northeast; Great Lakes

Moderate to heavy snow will return to the Northeast and New England over the next couple of days. Heavy Lake Effect Snow will continue to the lee of the Great Lakes. Light snow will fall across portions of the Tennessee Valley; working into the Mid-Atlantic by mid-week. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather conditions will continue in southern California.

Today: Northwest wind 15 to 20 knots shifting north in the late morning and afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet.

Tonight: North wind 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet.

Wednesday: North wind up to 5 knots shifting west in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 feet.

Wednesday Night: Southwest wind 5 to 10 knots. Seas 1 feet building to 2 feet after midnight.

Thursday: West wind 5 to 10 knots shifting northwest in the afternoon. Seas 2 feet.

Thursday Night: North wind 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet building to 4 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet after midnight. A slight chance of showers.

Friday: North wind 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet.

Friday Night: Northeast wind 5 to 10 knots shifting east after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet.
