Thunderstorms Across the Southeast U.S.; Elevated to Locally Critical Fire Weather in Colorado

A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms are possible across the Southeast U.S. Friday. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) outlook has been issued. Strong winds and hail will be the main threats. Elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions will persist across south-central Colorado today due to dry conditions and gusty winds.

Tonight: Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 3 to 4 feet, occasionally seas around 5 feet.

Saturday: Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 3 to 4 feet, occasionally seas around 5 feet.

Saturday Night: East winds around 10 knots. Waves around 3 feet. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms after midnight.

Sunday: North winds 15 to 20 knots, increasing to 20 to 25 knots in the afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 feet, occasionally seas up to 6 feet. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning.

Sunday Night: Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots. Waves 4 to 5 feet, occasionally seas up to 6 feet.

Monday: Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots, diminishing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 feet, occasionally seas up to 6 feet.

Monday Night: East winds around 10 knots, becoming southeast after midnight. Waves 3 to 4 feet, occasionally seas around 5 feet.

Tuesday: Southeast winds around 10 knots. Waves around 3 feet.
