Flooding and Severe Weather Risk Continues This Weekend

More heavy rain will exacerbate flooding in the central and southern U.S. this weekend. In addition, over portions of the Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee Valleys, severe thunderstorms are expected. Some storms may produce large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. Meanwhile, snow and ice will again affect the Cascades, northern Rockies, upper Midwest, and New England through Sunday.

Patchy fog in the evening. Areas of fog after midnight. A chance of showers in the evening. A slight chance of thunderstorms. Rain showers likely after midnight.

Sunday: East wind 5 to 10 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Areas of fog in the morning. Patchy fog in the afternoon. Showers likely and a slight chance of thunderstorms.

Sunday Night: Northeast wind around 10 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet. A slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening. A slight chance of showers.

Monday: Northeast wind 10 to 15 knots becoming around 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet.
