Significant Snowfall for Washington Cascades and Northern Rocky Mountains

A cold front will linger for several days from the Pacific Northwest to portions of the northern Plains early this week. Cold temperatures and copious moisture will combine to produce several feet of snow into the mountain passes, with up to 4 feet of snow down to 4000 feet in the northern Rockies. Tonight: Southeast wind 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Areas of fog. A slight chance of showers in the evening. Isolated thunderstorms. A chance of showers after midnight.

Tuesday: South wind 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet. Areas of fog. A slight chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: Southwest wind 10 to 15 knots becoming northwest 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet. Areas of fog in the evening. A chance of showers in the evening, then a slight chance of showers after midnight.

Wednesday: North wind 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.

Wednesday Night: Southeast wind 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet.

Thursday: South wind 5 to 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet. A slight chance of showers.

Thursday Night: South wind 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. A slight chance of showers.

Friday: South wind around 15 knots shifting southwest in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet. A chance of showers.

Friday Night: Northwest wind 15 to 20 knots shifting north after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet. A chance of showers.
