Wildfire Danger Continues in Southern California

High pressure building into the Western U.S. will create strong offshore winds in southern California. Temperatures in this region are unseasonably hot, and conditions are dry. The combination of these strong winds and dry conditions will bring fire danger to portions of southern California. Red Flag Warnings are in effect here. Any new fires in this region could quickly grow out of control.

Tonight: East wind 5 to 10 knots becoming northeast 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet.

Tuesday: North wind 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet.

Tuesday Night: North wind 15 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet.

Wednesday: North wind 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas up to 5 feet in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: North wind 5 to 10 knots shifting south after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 feet.

Thursday: South wind 5 to 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 feet.

Thursday Night: South wind 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet.

Friday: Southwest wind 10 to 15 knots shifting north in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 feet building to 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet in the afternoon.

Friday Night: North wind 15 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8 feet.
