High Impact Winter Storm Impacts the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic

Heavy, accumulating snow continue to fall in western and northern North Carolina to southwest Virginia. Wintry precipitation and some ice accretion is expected from northeast Georgia into central North Carolina, and portions of Tennessee and Kentucky. Travel conditions may be hazardous to nearly impossible due to slick roads and blowing snow; and power outages are expected due to brisk winds.
