Showers and storms will persist in Texas into the weekend with the heaviest rain focused over central Texas including the Hill Country where the threat for some flash flooding remains. Freezing temperatures are expected into the morning across the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and portions of the Mid-Mississippi Valley and the Northeast.
