Late Season Atmospheric River Event in the West; Critical Fire Weather Concerns in the Southern Plains

An impactful low pressure system will bring widespread gusty winds, mountain snow and low elevation rain from California to the Central Rockies. At times, rain may become locally heavy which could lead to flooding concerns over central/southern California. Further east, dry conditions combined with gusty winds will support Critical fire weather concerns across west Texas and eastern New Mexico.
