Western Heat and Monsoon Continues; Increasing Moisture in the East
High pressure continues to produce excessive heat and critical fire weather conditions for portions of the west, with heavy rains and potential for flash flooding associated with the monsoons in the southwest. Meanwhile, a cold front approaching the east coast is increasing the humidity and heat index, and bringing potential for heavy rain and flash flooding.
