Late afternoon and evening severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall is expected from the Front Range of the Central/Southern Rockies into the High Plains. Meanwhile in the East and South, a slow moving front will trigger scattered storms with locally heavy rain. Finally, smoke from numerous ongoing wildfires in the West are requiring alerts throughout the region and even into the Upper Midwest.
