Thunderstorms Across the Southeast U.S.; Elevated to Locally Critical Fire Weather in Colorado

A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms are possible across the Southeast U.S. Friday. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) outlook has been issued. Strong winds and hail will be the main threats. Elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions will persist across south-central Colorado today due to dry conditions and gusty winds.

Fri Night: S winds 10 to 15 kt along the coast to S SE 10 to 15 kt in the gulf stream. Seas less than 2 ft. Period 3 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Sat: S SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas less than 2 ft. Period 3 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Sat Night: S SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas less than 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Sun Through Mon: S winds 15 to 20 kt along the coast to S 10 to 15 kt with gusts to around 20 kt in the gulf stream. Seas 1 to 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Mon Night: Along the coast, SW winds 5 to 10 kt becoming NW after midnight. In the gulf stream, S winds 10 to 15 kt becoming SW 5 to 10 kt late in the evening. Seas 2 ft or less. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Tue: SE winds 5 to 10 kt becoming E in the evening. Seas 1 to 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.
