Severe Storms Shift into the Lower Mississippi Valley and Lower Ohio Valley Monday

The focus for severe storms will shift to the Lower Mississippi Valley and portions of the Tennessee Valley and Ohio Valley Monday. Damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado or two will all be possible. Elsewhere, a wintry mix will impact portions of New England while heavy rain and high elevation snow continue in the northwest U.S.

Tuesday: East northeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 11 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Tuesday Night: East winds around 10 knots becoming southeast after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 10 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Wednesday Through Thursday: Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Thursday Night: Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots becoming around 15 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.

Friday: South winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas to 6 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.
