Heavy rain threat continues through Saturday from the Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the Southwest and Rockies.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue over much of the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and the Ohio valley through the weekend. The central Appalachians and the lower Great Lakes/Ohio valley will likely have the higher rainfall amounts. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible this weekend as well from the desert southwest/southern Rockies northward to the northern Rockies and High Plains.
